This Privacy Policy explains how Ventuurs ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website at ventuurs.com or use the Ventuurs iOS application. We believe in plain language, so we've tried to keep this short and clear.

1. Who we are

Ventuurs is a social city exploration platform based in Austin, Texas. You can reach us anytime at contact@ventuurs.com.

2. Information we collect

From the website

• Contact form submissions. When you fill out our contact form we collect your name, email address, and message so we can reply to you.
• Basic analytics. Our host (Netlify) automatically logs IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance.

From the Ventuurs iOS app

• Account info. Name, email, and profile details you choose to add.
• Location data. With your permission, your device location to surface nearby places and Ventuurs. You can turn this off at any time in your iOS Settings.
• Activity data. Places you save, Ventuurs you join or create, and connections with other users.
• Device info. Device model, iOS version, and basic diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the Ventuurs service.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.
• To personalize recommendations and help you discover places.
• To send important account or service notifications (we don't spam).
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.

4. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Ventuurs:

• Netlify — website hosting and form submissions.
• Resend — sending transactional emails (like contact form confirmations).
• Zapier — routing form submissions to the right inbox.
• Apple — App Store distribution and basic crash reporting.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of Ventuurs and our users.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep contact form submissions for up to 24 months. App account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we need to retain it for legal reasons.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the information we have about you.
• Correct or update inaccurate information.
• Delete your information.
• Opt out of certain processing (like marketing emails).
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

Ventuurs is not intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Ventuurs is based in the United States. If you're using Ventuurs from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection rules than your country.
